Final Testing

 

An at home test was conducted on the static pet brush. The pet brush functional requirements are as follows:

1) Handheld = passed

2) Weighs less than 1 kg = passed

3) Rechargeable batteries = passed

4) Limit of up to 2 hours of battery life = passed

5) Does not harm pet = passed

6) Contains 90% of pet hair = failed

7) Noise level is less than 60 decibels = failed

 

Pet brush contain 60% of pet hair and the noise level is at 85 decibels. In order to improve the design insulation must be added inside the motor housing to quiet the motor. The bristles of the brush are far apart and don't really grab any hair. If the bristles were closer together and thinner teeth, it would grab more pet hair.
